For three years, Juliet’s definition of home was wherever her sister and nephew were. Her only goal was to do whatever it took to reunite with her family. With the arrival of the freighter, it seemed that goal would be met. Then the freighter blew up. She knew it was too much to hope for.

This is the song I most relate Juliet to. Lady has been through so much and yet, through it all, she is one of the strongest characters I've ever seen on television. It mostly makes me think of the episode "One of Us" (which is, quite honestly, one of the top episodes of the series). The line "Sometimes I'm afraid and I don't feel that tough, but I'll stand back up" reminds me of Juliet completely owning Sayid and Sawyer when she went to pick up the medicine for Claire. And "When the darkness tries to get me, there's a light that just won't let me" - Rachel and Julian are her light. I just really love this song and will never not be able to think of one Juliet Burke when listening. ♥
